What is Toughbook Universe Approved ? Well think about purchasing a “used” car. Would you rather buy a certified car with a warranty or take your chances with a used car from a private source? Keep in mind, most used Panasonic Toughbooks are over 3 years old, and there is no manufacturer warranty.
Panasonic Toughbooks are expensive, and typically the rugged features have been used within a harsh environment. 3 years or more of abuse including dust, debris, vibration, shock, and moisture has “used” many of the components such as the keyboard, mousepad, touch screen, hard drive and battery. Used prices are high relative to the product you may receive and don’t include a warranty. Some stores offer a 30-90 day warranty, at an increased price, that doesn’t even include the battery.
That’s where we come in. Toughbook Universe recognizes this and concludes there is no such product as a refurbished Toughbook, however, there is “used” that may also be called refurbished.
Toughbook Universe has the knowledge, skill, resources, and parts available to service, repair, and setup your Panasonic Toughbook. No other reseller can provide the level of service and skill that we do.
1. Toughbook Universe re-approves Panasonic Toughbook laptop computers. We test the main board, memory, processor, serial port, parallel port, expansion interface, USB ports, PC Card slots, mouse, keyboard, LCD, touch screen (if equipped), floppy drive (if equipped), audio component, Ethernet port and more.
2. Toughbook Universe replaces failed and used components, such as the keyboard, mouse, hard disk drive, touch panel, touch panel protector, ac adapter, battery, port doors, and seals.
3. Toughbook Universe gives you the option of operating systems. We completely set up and test every Panasonic Toughbook we sell, with restore utility and online manuals located on the hard disk drive. We use boxes specially designed for laptops to avoid shipping damages and to date have had zero claims.
4. Toughbook Universe provides a 1 year parts and labor warranty standard, including the battery. Extendable to 3 years optional.
Go ahead, look around. Find any other store that can offer anything other than a “refurbished” Toughbook, or any other store that does their own repairs, in their own shop, with their own technicians. You won’t.
Other resellers will send your Toughbook to Panasonic, have it repaired at an extreme cost, and then have it sent back to you. This costs you in the end, by resellers raising the price of their used Toughbooks. Oh, and does that “refurbished” Toughbook have a new LCD, keyboard, and mousepad? I highly doubt it.
