Customer Branding Badge
A durable version of an organization’s logo can be applied to the outer case of a Toughbook mobile computer to increase brand awareness and reduce the likelihood of theft. When Panasonic manages the deployment, logos can be applied to any Toughbook model as part of the deployment.
The Panasonic Toughbook® Customer Branding Badge service lets organizations create and permanently apply a durable version of the organization’s logo to the outer case of every computer in the deployment. Having the logo appear prominently helps the organization increase brand awareness. These bold badges make logos highly visible—clearly identifying the owner of the unit—thereby reducing the likelihood of theft. Organizations provide Panasonic with a high-resolution file containing text, logos and colors to be included on the badge. Panasonic provides a final proof for approval prior to printing and applying the badges to the computers. Click to view the Customer Branding Badge Brochure
Data Protection
Panasonic’s Data Protection Service allows organizations to track, locate and report the activities of any Toughbook computer, including those that are missing, stolen or that have been transferred to a user other than the one registered to the unit. Administrators can remotely remove data from lost, stolen or transferred units without the user’s knowledge.
Panasonic’s Data Protection Service helps maintain data privacy and regulatory compliance standards. Its value is in reducing an organization’s data security risks and the potentially damaging problems security breaches can cause. With this service, administrators can easily delete data files from lost or stolen Toughbook® laptops, monitor the recovery status of these mobile devices and track unit information. This is accomplished through client-server architecture embedded in the Toughbook that uses encrypted communication with the monitoring servers. All functionality works seamlessly without compromising the organization’s productivity.
This service provides data protection, deletion capabilities, asset tracking and theft recovery assistance in three distinct products produced by Absolute Software:
- Computrace Complete
- Computrace Plus
- Computrace Data Protection
Each is available in 3-, 4- or 5-year plans. All of the products allow the organization to remotely delete files from a user’s Toughbook without the user’s knowledge. The data removal process meets the United States Department of Defense (DOD) standard for data removal and is set up to ensure that data is never deleted without permission of the organization’s administrator. Once the data is removed, it cannot be recovered. Click to view the Customer Data Protection Brochure
Field Consulting Service

Panasonic’s Field Consulting Service, provided by a team of professional Technical Field Managers, offers organizations additional training, support, post-deployment troubleshooting and problem resolution when needed. These experts will go on-site at a client’s location to review issues affecting the mobile deployment. With Panasonic’s strategic alliances in information technology, vehicle mounting hardware and wireless communications, the Field Consulting Service is one of many programs that ensure that Panasonic Toughbook mobile computing solutions continue to be the industry’s most reliable.

Hot Swap Management
With Hot Swap Management Service, customer-owned replacement Toughbook computers are stored at Panasonic’s National Service Center and shipped to users who have units that need service. The users keep the replacement computers and ship the original ones back to Panasonic’s National Service Center.
With Panasonic’s Hot Swap Management Service, the T-Force team sends the user a fully functional Toughbook® computer from a reserve of customer-owned Toughbook computers stored at Panasonic’s National Service Center. The replacement unit is shipped for next business day delivery whenever a user calls Panasonic Technical Support and determines that the computer needs to be serviced. The user removes the hard drive from the original computer and inserts it into the replacement unit, eliminating the need to transfer files or software. The user keeps the replacement Toughbook and ships the original unit to Panasonic. When the original computer is received by Panasonic, it is repaired, re-imaged and put back into the customer’s own inventory for future use. This service enables the organization’s users to stay productive and experience maximum efficiency. Click to view the Hot Swap Management Brochure
On-site Service
Panasonic On-site Service reduces downtime and increases productivity by repairing Toughbook laptops at the users’ work locations. The on-site response time in the United States top 50 major metropolitan areas is the next business day. Panasonic’s On-site Service repairs and maintains Toughbook® laptops at the organization’s location. This plan is particularly valuable when data security concerns eliminate the possibility of shipping a laptop to an off-site location for repair. On-site Service is performed by technicians using only Panasonic-approved parts. This service reduces the mobile computer support burden on the organization’s in-house IT resources.
On-site Service is available to office workers, field service technicians, law enforcement personnel, the military, healthcare and other mobile professionals within the United States and at selected global locations. To initiate service, users call Panasonic Technical Support, which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The T-Force team member dispatches a service technician. The on-site response time in the top 50 major American metropolitan areas is the next business day. Locations more than 50 miles outside the top 50 major metropolitan markets may require slightly more time. Click to view the Onsite Services Brochure
